Endodontic Treatment at Elevation Endodontics

What Is Endodontic Treatment?

Endodontic treatment (also called endodontic therapy or root canal therapy) is done to remove infected pulp from a tooth to prevent further tooth decay. It often means the difference between a patient being able to keep their tooth and needing to have it extracted.

Protecting Your Overall Health

Endodontic treatment focuses on saving your teeth. Dr. McKissock recommends conservative treatment whenever possible.  Implants are excellent alternatives to missing teeth.  However, if your tooth is not missing, you owe it to yourself to get a thorough evaluation to determine if traditional, conservative treatment options such as root canal therapy, retreatment of a failing root canal or simple root end surgery are possible.  Root canals are less costly than implants and most patients choose to keep their own teeth when given the option.
