Dr. McKissock is a Board Certified Endodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and has been practicing since 2002. He served seven years as the Endodontic Instructor for the Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at Fort Carson.
Dr. McKissock is a Brown University graduate and former Army Scout Helicopter Pilot for the 1st Infantry Division and Multinational Force Observers in Egypt. In 2002, he earned a DMD degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry where he graduated on the Dean’s List with several patient care awards as well as the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society’s Ethics Award. In 2002, he returned to Active Duty and graduated from the US Army’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. In 2009, he completed his Endodontic Residency at Fort Bragg. He has lectured for the Canadian Forces Dental Command as well as the US Air Force Academy Residency. He presented endodontic research at a national conference and continues to lecture to dental societies and academic settings. His passion for teaching demands he stay current on the latest technologies and techniques especially within pain management. Dr. McKissock volunteers with Colorado Mission of Mercy (COMOM), providing dental care to those in need. He is honored to have been voted one of the “Top Dentists” in Colorado Springs by his peers.
Dr. McKissock married his college sweetheart Jill and is the proud father of Dean, Cole and Luke. He enjoys snowboarding, biking, tennis and spending time with his family watching the Steelers and the Yankees.
